Have a sewing machine and not sure where to start? Bring it to one of these 3 hour classes and get to know your machine. You will learn its basic parts and how to thread the machine, how to adjust tension and why it's so important, and basic cleaning and troubleshooting techniques. You will make a sample stitch cloth out of the various stitches your machine is capable of and what they're used for. You will also get a lesson on the different types of thread available on the market and their uses. You will also go over machine needles too.

Learn to make a baby/lap size Single Irish Chain quilt from beginning to end - color theory, rotary cutting skills, piecing, pressing, borders, quilting, binding. The class is a small semi-private group (max 4 students). A working sewing machine and working knowledge of the machine are the only requirements. Once you've got the basics from this course you can then move on to more complicated patterns and projects. This is a condensed 4 week course for students who need a brush up or who catch on quickly!!!

This class will be pieced with a template and applique. NO paper piecing!!! You will also explore basic color theory to select fabrics, and setting and border designs. Diane will show you how to piece together this advanced block and finish it off so you will be able to make as many as you want! Once you have the technique down, the sky is the limit!
